Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream is one of the main products in the Freeze 24/7 Age-Less Skincare line. This line promotes itself as offering a “safe and effective alternative to invasive, costly and sometimes harmful cosmetic procedures.”

Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream: Topical Muscle Relaxant?

The principal ingredient that works to achieve this is Gamma Aminobutyric Acid or GABA . This is an “inhibitory neurotransmitter” found in the body’s nervous system. GABA has been referred to as the brain’s “natural calming agent” since it regulates brain and nerve cell activity by inhibiting over-stimulation of neurons. Freeze uses this “natural muscle relaxant” topically to encourage relaxation of fine lines on the face. Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle cream also contains Sesame Seed Oil (an Antioxidant rich in Vitamins E and B) and Gynostemma Pentaphyllum extract (a potent anti-aging Chinese herb).

Botox in a Bottle?

This cosmeceutical has been termed “Botox in a bottle” for its claim to reduce the appearance of wrinkles “on the spot.” It is recommended to use Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream only on targeted areas of the face such as the forehead, crow’s feet, and nasolabial folds. My Beauty Beat found this product does tighten or “freeze” the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, the effects seem temporary and are far less dramatic than the results that Botox achieves . Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream is a bit drying (particularly if apply makeup over it) so would recommend to use a moisturizer on top of it. However, this writer is not sure if the use of an additional moisturizer somehow detracts from the product’s principle mechanism. Additionally, although the Company suggests that, with regular daily use of Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkles Cream, fine lines and wrinkles will lessen over time, this has not been proven and the results appear to be temporary.

Although Freeze 24.7 Anti-Wrinkle Cream may good to use as a quick-fix, I am not convinced of its long-term effects. The Company has a great marketing slogan: “Nature not Needles.” Since Botox is derived from Botulinum Toxin (although used in small safe amounts), My Beauty Beat would like to volunteer another phrase: “Chill out the use of toxins with Freeze!”
