The Art of Applying Eye Cream
Yes there is an art to it! One of the most important pieces of advice Beauty Beat can share with its readers, in using an eye cream, is the application of it. In short, use the RING FINGER! The skin surrounding the eyes is fragile and requires a delicate touch. Using the ring finger to apply a product on the skin provides the least pressure. Since the skin directly above and below the eye contains no oil glands, it is important to apply the cream only along its surrounding bone. Applying a moisturizer under the eye or on the eyelid is of no value! Without oil glands, a moisturizer cannot be absorbed, and its only effect is to seep into the eye and cause unnecessary irritation.
If you outline the bone surrounding the eye, you will feel a circle. Using the ring finger, Beauty Beat recommends lightly dabbing the eye cream along the outer edge of the bone. Fight those crabby crow’s feet and sulky dark circles by gently patting away!

Thanks- this was helpful! Never knew was supposed to use my ring finger.
